Oh Joni Mitchell...the supernova of all indie stars...an inspiration and influence of constellations of notable stars (according to Wikipedia) such as Led Zeppelin, Morrissey, Prince, Chaka Khan, Alanis Morissette*, Björk*, Counting Crows, Jeff Buckley*, Janet Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, Annie Lennox*, k.d. lang*, Madonna, Cat Power*, George Michael, Roxette*, Shawn Colvin*, Anita Baker*, Fiona Apple*, Holly Brook*, KT Tunstall*, Seal, Tori Amos, Keith Green, Schuyler Fisk*, Kate Voegele*, Regina Spektor*, Slash, and Keri Noble* to name a few. Take note the asterisk (*) name were actually the artists that I listened to.
Well, no wonder most of these artists music was tad familiar to my ears. The moment I listens to Joni Mitchell's 'Blue', I know I am home because this is where it all begun. As I mentioned in my previous entry, her music was so current for 1970. It was so NOW.
...as mentioned in Oscar nominated movie, The Kids Are Alright, her album Blue is indeed her most accomplished album ever for me too.
I have her digital copy of Blue (1971), and I love all the song. I love 'A Case of You' the most. Here it is.
