An Acquired Taste

My productive writing moment is always come when I’m in a middle something more important. To create some kind of diversion that everything else are so unnecessary. Things like End of Posting Exam, Mock Exam or Case Write-up pushing deadline. They are mildly critical compare to my urgent need to write an update despite of reality that nobody reading it anyway. Worse enough, I don’t have any idea what to write about actually, but the urge is insuppressible (<--this is not a valid vocab). You remember like back then when Eve enticed Adam to have a bite of forbidden fruit, yeah totally unrelated, out-of-context.

I’m in a middle of my Orthopaedic posting now. Never have I fell in love in such discipline that I basically know not much. Where anatomy are severely invoked and frequently replied with united sneer or head-low-face-the-floor reflex, pray your name will not be called to answer. But I like it nevertheless, it shattered your big meatball of ego into edible humane pieces so that you will not be too proud choking on larger chunks. You will never know everything. You think that you are that far-high on a horse saddle that some Orthopaedist will whip it so it’ll kick you off fall down to earth eating dirt.

Orthopaedics posting, based on previous collective experience of my friends, always a dreaded posting; for the humiliation and verbal abuse they received from specialist in HRPZ II back then, it scarred some people that palpitation ensue upon mentioning it. I was lucky enough to have my 3rd year Ortho posting in HTAR, on sheer abandonment and independence.

Well that was until we come to this posting again in our final year. It actually by the effort of our beloved invited Bangalore teachers that we finally get a great second impression to this posting. Their dedication and patience are greatly appreciated. I know that there was some unavoidable moment of disappointment in them upon some of our lacking, but their will and determination bring out the best in us. We are enthusiastic, awaken and re-motivated. I wish they will be here forever.

Special thanks to my Bangalore teachers who brought us their wisdom and determination and never give up on us. They made a great impression on me, a sweet dent in your memory you will swear to keep and hold on to.

I’m listening to Sade 2011 The Ultimate Collection and Sara Bareilles' 2010 Kaleidoscope Heart while writing this, so my mood kind of subtle and relaxed.
