Facebook Timeline: Bragface

Okey waktu-waktu lapang begini adalah sesuai untuk techno update. Topic hari ini, seperti yang telah dinyatakan kat tajuk adalah the new up and coming feature of Facebook called Timeline. It actually appear in your profile page.

It will be available to masses in October 6 2011, but being the techno freak I am, I cheat my way in by pretending to be Application Developer so I can experience it firsthand and earlier than thou.

Okey there is nothing major about it except that it is kinda like a storybook or a diary of your life posted online. Bermaksud, segala yang anda kongsikan di Facebook sejak anda join sehinggalah kini, boleh di-Flashback with a scroll of your mouse. Well even better, it actually started from the day you were born, where you can put you baby picture, and along the scroll up to the latest events, you will see…

…it will tell your family and friends birthday. You can like and comment on them. Like “So glad you were born!”

..it also feature when and where do you graduate from, given that you shared such info in your profile.

So if there is someone who are really interested to know about you from the very beginning (a.k.a CyberStalker), they can. Given you approve them as friend and leave all your data without privacy control.

I just got reminded that I joined Facebook on 31 October 2008, where my activity timeline actually begins. If you are the type yang suka imbas kembali segala status update, gambar, link and reponses, you can actually got lost in this so-called reminiscence. You can learn how you are becoming mature from oh-so-rage-angsty-me to I-am-a-man-of-composure *cough, cough* “Care for cup of tea ma’am?” *British slang*.

Here is brief introduction to Facebook Timeline

From the top, anda boleh menambah banner or they called it as cover picture. So you can actually create some welcoming banner with words and all. Sebelah kanan sekali adalah the oh-so-famous Timeline. You can click to which month or year you want to have some nostalgic scroll. Or you can scroll to infinity from the start.

Kalau anda boleh tengok dengan lebih dekat. Kat tengah-tengah page gambar di atas ada satu line biru, itu adalah ‘the line’ or main branch dan the dialog box to the left and right is the things that you do throughout, acting like a leaf or something. Di sinilah anda boleh reminisce what your statuses update, people posts on your wall, pictures by you, pictures that you were tagged with etc. Basically whatever that happened in regards to you.

Buat masa ini, anda tidak dapat melihat profile saya dalam mode Timeline unless anda telah upgrade profile anda ke dalam version ini. Hanya mereka-mereka yang telah upgrade-kan profile mereka kepada mode timeline boleh experience the timeline of my profile. So here where you can cheat your way to Facebook Timeline, pretty easy.
