Just wanted to share what I am listening to currently. This is the song that made my mouse cursor raping the replay button like it was second nature. Some of these album might be reviewed soon if not never.
- Bon Iver - Bon Iver: whoa this shizz in heavy rotation. Couldn’t get enough of it. Seriously, you shoold listen to Perth. That was an EPIC opening song. Like effing seriously.
- Andrew Belle – The Ladder: he reminds me of Greg Laswell, Mat Kearney and Isaac Slade (The Fray frontman) because their voice is taaaaaad familiar.
- Panic! At The Disco – Vices and Virtues: this gives me rush coz Ballad of Monalisa is my alarm song. Prodigal generation of Fall Out Boy.
- Lady Gaga – Born This Way: This is mainly my laundry song. Meaning I listened to it while doing my Poor Korean Style laundry.
- Sucker Punch Original Soundtrack: What can I say, Emiliana Torrini & Bjork. When I was watching this movie, I knew it was them just by their unique vocal style. That is why upon reaching home, I Google-d and downloaded their album straight away. Emily Browning is not bad a singer herself, the song Asleep is haunting.
- X-Men: First Class Soundtrack - Instrumental song. Good for doing last minute assignment. It made you seemed like a hero trying to save the world by doing damn lame Case Write-ups long past deadline.
- Mumford and Sons – Sigh No More: Their wallowing voice and strum of cello had me at hello.
- Kate Bush – Director’s Cut: She is actually the mother of musical eccentricities long time before Gaga.
- Ingrid Michaelson – Everybody: for a good perspective about life. This one has positivity and insight like no one’s business. Plus who doesn’t love Ingrid? I dare you say ‘me’.
- Agnes Obel – Philharmonics: Because of ‘Riverside’ has redeeming quality for an entire album. Gimme some Danish flava.
- Emmylou Harris - Hard Bargain: she just makes you wanna lay down and drift away. She was underrated. But not to my ear.
- Alison Krauss & Union Station - Paper Airplane: I just resist an urge to extrapolate.
- Florence And The Machine - Lungs: She had 20 songs in one album. Which wish of yours that has not been fulfilled yet?
- Owl City – All Things Bright and Beautiful: As the album titled. It was full of feel good songs of emotronica.
By the way, Beyonce’s latest album 4, to be released on June 24th 2011 is utter crap. Toss it right away. That’s why I hate mainstream music, overrated and full with bad music and star trying too hard reproducing her past acclaimed reputation. You ought to hate a music when it started to sound desperate.
